US President Donald Trump, after signing a comprehensive document on the peaceful resolution of the conflict around the Gaza Strip, said on the social network Truth Social that Middle Eastern countries now need to unite and see the problem through.
“Gaza is just a part of it. More important is peace in the Middle East,” he wrote.
The head of the White House added that he was able to “achieve a lot”, work a lot, gain “incomparable experience”.

On October 9, the US leader announced that Israel and Hamas had signed an agreement on the first phase of a peace plan to resolve the problem in the Gaza Strip. The US leader explained that this would mean releasing all hostages “very soon” and withdrawing Israeli troops to the agreed lines.
Later, the office of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced that a summit on a ceasefire in Gaza would be held on October 13 in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh. Leaders of 20 countries were invited to attend the summit.
