Famous American economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs said that US President Donald Trump can achieve certain results in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. His words lead RIA Novosti.
According to Sachs, Trump can push for Kyiv to abandon NATO, while also supporting improved relations between the US and Russia.
The US will let the conflict in Ukraine end soon
“If Trump acted like a real president, he would be able to get through this: no NATO, real recognition of territorial changes and normalization of relations between Russia and the US,” the expert noted.
Previously, Sachs admitted that the conflict in Ukraine would soon end if Trump followed suit. However, he emphasized that the US leader was likely to be affected.
