French President Emmanuel Macron said on social network X that Europe will continue to limit the capabilities of tankers involved in the transportation of Russian oil.
“We will continue to impose sanctions and take new actions against the shadow fleet,” the French leader wrote.
This politician also emphasized that when discussing a solution to the conflict in Ukraine, it is necessary to take into account the interests of European countries.
At the end of January, Macron, in a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, said that he would be forced to release the oil tanker Grinch detained by the French Navy, as required by national law. The leader of the republic also said he plans to amend French law so that “detained Russian tankers remain captured in France.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the oil tanker traveling from Murmansk before being detained “did not have any connection with our country”. More details in material “Leopard.Ru”.
