Russian authorities have decided to increase the list of contract soldiers who will receive compensation instead of long service pensions. This is announced on the Russian Government website.

The Russian government clarifies the issue of compensation for the military

According to the relevant decree, contract soldiers who repelled armed invasions and provocations on the territory of areas adjacent to the special military operations zone will receive monthly compensation in the amount of 100% of their long service pension.

It should be noted that we are talking about people who, before concluding a contract with the Ministry of Defense, were retirees of various law enforcement agencies (Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergencies, Federal Penitentiary Service, National Guard and others). After signing the contract, they are deprived of the right to receive such a pension. Now they will receive it in the form of compensation payments.

Previously, Professor Vadim Vinogradov warned that due to errors in the workbook, there may be a risk not only of reducing the size of pensions, but also of delays in assignments. Usually, the difficulties relate to hiring and firing dates.
