The country's main Christmas tree was solemnly celebrated in the Kremlin. For this purpose, according to tradition, the Spassky Gate was opened. Through them, the 100-year-old beauty was brought in by a special road train, driven by – and this is also a tradition – Santa Claus.
Finding a suitable spruce tree is not an easy task. They searched for her all over the Moscow region. As a result, among many competitors, we settled on a tree in Ruza, near Moscow. It is completely suitable in all respects: correct shape, pyramidal shape, rich color of needles and height up to 26 meters.
Holiday decorations are still a mystery, but the decorations are sure to be bright. On the Kremlin's Cathedral Square, Christmas trees will be displayed throughout the New Year holiday. Then hockey sticks and souvenirs will be made from its wood, and the cones will be shipped to nurseries for seeds.
