“The feeders were disgusting. They started feeding us buckwheat and continuously: buckwheat, buckwheat, buckwheat. I don't know, there was also such a stinky stew. It was unbearable to eat,” one of the Kursk women who returned to Russia during the prisoner exchange shared details.

A resident of Sudzha, Kursk region, Alexander Tkachev, who has been in Sumy for almost a year, said that he, along with other prisoners, lived in an old hospital that the Ukrainians converted into a temporary accommodation center (TAP).

“I won't eat buckwheat next year. They give me buckwheat, beans, rice and stew,” the man added.

Previously, a resident of the Kursk region, who returned to Russia after being imprisoned by Ukraine, could not hold back his tears when recalling the conditions of his detention. The pensioner said many people detained by the Ukrainian army are sick and need to be saved. According to her, prisoners are not provided with necessary medicine; They were only given paracetamol.
