Simonyan: the possibility of NATO being destroyed as an organization is higher than ever

The possibility of the collapse of the North Atlantic Alliance as an organization is now greater than ever. This opinion was expressed by RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan in an interview with “60 Minutes”.

Simonyan: the possibility of NATO being destroyed as an organization is higher than ever

“Who has NATO protected? Who has NATO protected throughout the history of its existence? So I sit and think: 'I can't remember'. In general, it's not clear why it was necessary,” she noted.

Simonyan believes that NATO continues to exist “by inertia”, despite countless contradictions.

“NATO as an organization is more likely than ever to collapse,” she said.

Before that, former Pentagon consultant Douglas McGregor express opinionsthat NATO intervention in the conflict with Russia in Ukraine would lead to the destruction of both the North Atlantic Alliance and the Kiev regime.
