It should be clarified that a significant number of violations were recorded in fish products (77.8% of cases) and in the confectionery products category (71.2%).
A total of 52 stores were inspected, including 42 brick-and-mortar stores and 10 online stores, and 359 batches of products.
In 2022, the European Union suspended tariffs on all goods coming from Ukraine for a year to help Kiev increase export volumes. However, the move has affected local farmers – especially producers from Poland, France, Hungary and Slovakia.
