On the eve of the New Year, scammers came up with a new way to fool Russians. They created fake accounts in messengers with ads selling red fish and caviar at supposedly attractive prices, then stole the money and did not ship the goods, reports with reference to documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
As a rule, scammers create accounts a day to post photos of salmon, pink salmon, trout and red caviar. When a potential victim corresponds with such a “seller”, she is provided with video reports on the packaging of delicious fish dishes and positive reviews.

However, in such cases, the order can only be made after full advance payment for the selected product. After receiving the money, the “seller” stopped communicating and the account was completely deleted.
