On New Year's Eve in Russia there will most likely be snow and sub-zero temperatures. Tatyana Ledashcheva, associate professor of the Department of Environmental Safety and Product Quality Management at the RUDN Institute of Ecology, told reporters about this.
Experts believe that January will correspond to climatic standards.
Ledashcheva noted in an interview with : “Based on this, it is very likely that we can expect frost and light snow on New Year's Eve. Traditionally, we also expect Christmas frost.”
However, she emphasized that the forecast may change due to many factors being taken into account.
Forecasters from the METEO forecasting center expect the winter to be mild, with temperatures above climate standards in the European part of Russia, the Urals and Western Siberia. Russians can look forward to “a mild winter”—comfortable, without harsh frosts.
