Musician Evgeny Levitan died at the age of 80, the press service of the State Culture Institute Chelyabinsk said.
Evgeny Levitan is the founder of the Pianist contest named after Stanislav Neuhaus. He worked for 34 years in the Ural State Conservatory of Music, named after MP Mussorgsky.
Levitan was awarded the honorary title of the Russian Federation.
