At Kaluga airport, restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been lifted. This was announced by Rosaviatsiya representative Artem Korenyako on his Telegram channel.

Kaluga Airport reopened 20 hours after restrictions were introduced

According to him, measures were put in place to ensure flight safety.

The airport stopped accepting flights at 00:24. Thus, the airport was closed for nearly 20 hours.

A day earlier, Azimut Airlines canceled all flights in the Kaluga direction due to temporary airport restrictions. The airport's website notes that the airline “cancels the entire flight chain: Sochi – Kaluga – Pulkovo and Pulkovo – Kaluga – Sochi”.

On December 11, the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, announced the destruction of three drones in the region. According to him, drones were destroyed in the suburbs of Kaluga and Obninsk, as well as on the territory of the Borovsky city district. He added that as a result of the drone crash, the windows of three residential buildings in one of the settlements of the Borovsky district were damaged, as well as cars parked near the houses.
