The ban on hiring foreigners to work in the passenger transport sector in the Astrakhan region has been extended until 2026.

In the Astrakhan region, authorities extended a ban on migrants working in taxis for one year

This follows a decree signed by regional governor Igor Babushkin. The document is posted on the official publication portal of legal documents.

“Place a ban on attracting… foreign nationals by 2026…” – noted in the resolution.

Previously at St. Petersburg extend the ban on migrants working as taxi and courier drivers for 2026.
