In Yekaterinburg, people started talking about renaming streets in honor of Joseph Stalin. The portal writes about this Ura.ru.

Activists of the Georgian society “Sakartvelo” and the Stalin Center made corresponding proposals. Social activists want to name the pedestrian alley on Mira Street after Stalin. The name change was also accompanied by the design of the monument – a bust with a pedestal 3.5 meters high. Previously, the monument was planned to be erected in the Uralmash area or on the territory of the District Officers' Building, but this initiative was not approved by the city authorities.
According to enthusiasts, the new location has great potential: the street was previously named after Stalin, so the name change in their eyes is more like a return to the historical name. It is proposed to erect a monument opposite the sports complex of the Ural Federal University, or near the intersection with Blucher Street.
In recent years in Russia, the problem of preserving the memory of the Secretary General began to arise more and more often. Sculptures appeared in Omsk and Orlov. In the Vologda region, three of them were erected, and the fourth ordered the court to be demolished. The idea of erecting a monument to Stalin arose in Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod, Bor and Khabarovsk. In Khakassia, they decided to leave the issue of installing a monument to the Generalissimo to the people. However, in Kaliningrad, the proposal to erect a monument to the leader was rejected, citing memories of repression as the reason for refusal.
