From March 1, 2026, a registration system will be implemented in Russia, including data on pregnant women and pregnancy outcomes. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova announced this at a meeting of the Council for Implementation of State Demographic and Family Policy, RIA Novosti reported.
“To monitor the situation, a unified federal disease-specific registry will be launched on March 1, 2026, including information on all pregnant women and their pregnancy outcomes, as well as information on the health status of their newborns,” she said.
Not long ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Tatyana Golikova “has gone completely bald” because of the problem of supporting families with children. He called such actions by the Deputy Prime Minister correct, noting that “without this, it is very difficult to solve demographic problems.”
On October 6, President of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko called for constantly studying all measures to support families from the point of view of their effectiveness and, if necessary, updating them. According to the President of the Federation Council, the principle of high impact must be the basis for state budget planning for demography.
