In the Russian labor market, towards the end of this year, demand for experts in 3D printing and the Internet of Things (IoT)—devices with online sensors—suddenly skyrocketed. This was reported by hh.ru research director Maria Ignatova.
“The company's interest in specialists working at the intersection of digital technologies, production and virtual environments is growing. The demand for specialists in the field of 3D printing, in the IoT segment, as well as virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) designers has increased in a particularly notable way,” explains Izvestia's interlocutor.
In some regions, demand for such professionals has increased by between 11 and 41%. According to analysts, this momentum is due to the process of import substitution, the widespread introduction of digital technology and the growth of domestic technology production.
Previously, URA.RU wrote that about 200 certificates confirming IT competencies have been issued in the country. At the beginning of the year, experts predicted that AI-related occupations, machine learning specialists, and agile engineers would be among the top trends in the market.
