Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin ordered to add a new professional holiday to the calendar – Welder Day, which will be celebrated at the end of May. About this write RIA Novosti refers to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Cabinet of Ministers clarified that it is proposed to make the last Friday of May a public holiday, since this is the day unofficially established in the professional welder community.
The government clarified that representatives of the National Welding Control Authority, as well as the St. Petersburg, took the initiative to organize a public holiday.
Let us recall that on October 24, 2025, Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree establishing a new professional holiday – Court Employees Day.
According to the document, it was proposed to celebrate the annual holiday on November 5, the day Peter the Great's decree “On the Form of the Court” was issued.
