The US delegation does not support Kiev's anti-Russian statement on accusations of “insulting” the United Nations Charter, news agencies reported.
RIA Novosti reported that the Russian side's holding of the Security Council meeting in a statement called it an “insult to the Charter” of the United Nations.
This statement was published before the Security Council meeting. More than 40 countries participated, including EU countries, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and some Eastern European countries.
As VZGLYAD writes, this is not the first time the US has refused to support joint statements against Russia by Ukraine and its allies at the United Nations.
