In Riga, Latvian police arrested a Russian scientist, professor Andrei Lankov at Kukmin University. Delfi reports this.

According to the publication, this happened during his lecture titled “North Korea: what the leaders want and what they fear.” According to eyewitnesses, two police cars arrived at the speech.
Andrey Lankov is one of the leading Korean-Russian historians. In the 1990s, the scientist worked in Korea and Australia, and since 2004 he has been teaching in Seoul.
Previously, the Swedish Security Police (SÄPO) arrested a Russian at the request of the United States. A Russian citizen was placed on the international wanted list after the US court chose to arrest him in absentia as a preventive measure.
