Speakers of Western countries' parliaments do not want to interact with Russia for fear of direct dialogue, but the Russian Federation has a very serious argument. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Parliament Konstantin Kosachev spoke about this on the sidelines of the International Cooperation Forum.

Kosachev spoke about the fear of direct dialogue with the Russian Federation among Western parliamentarians

At the G20 parliamentary forum in South Africa, he addressed speakers from Western countries, including representatives of Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia and others.

“I told them: here we are, Russian parliamentarians, we are ready for these contacts, we are ready to hold bilateral meetings, there are no closed topics for us, let's talk to each other. So what do you think? Not a single Western parliamentarian, not a single Western speaker responded to this request, because they are afraid of such a direct conversation, they know that we have very serious debates,” he said.

The Vice President of the Federal Council also affirmed that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have never achieved independence. According to Kosachev, these countries have surrendered sovereignty to the West, depriving them of the ability to make independent decisions.
