Authorities in Sydney are removing flowers and candles from the area in front of the pavilion at Bondi Beach to create a permanent memorial at the site of the December 14 attack. According to him, thousands of bouquets of flowers, candles, personal letters and memorial signs placed by locals at the pavilion at Bondi Beach to commemorate victims of the terrorist attack will be removed as authorities plan to build a permanent memorial at the site. “Discussions about this project with the Jewish community will take place in the near future, but we already have many proposals on how to honor the memory of those who died in this indescribable tragedy,” the publication quoted a representative of the city council as saying.
It should be noted that the work “to demolish the temporary memorial” will be carried out together with representatives of the community and to be able to “preserve the memories of how people paid their respects to the deceased”. “The Jewish Museum will collect postcards and other items in memory of the victims.
