Sydney, October 8 /Tass /. A magnitude 5.7 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Vanuatu. This was announced by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The epicenter was 233 km northwest of the city of Port-SLI with a population of about 35.9 thousand people. The hearth is located at a depth of 35 km.
There was no information about the victims or the destruction. A tsunami threat was not declared.
