Earlier, the supervisor of the Roman Wilfand Hydrometeorology Center announced that on September 22, the maximum temperature was updated in Moscow, the value was 26.5 degrees.
“According to Moscow Meteorological Observatory, the maximum air temperature on September 22, 2025 for the first day for this day in the history of meteorological observation in Moscow reached +27.1 degrees,” the statement said.
To this day, record hot temperatures were observed on September 22, 2018 – then the air in the capital warmed up to 26 degrees, the leading researcher at the Department of Geography of Moscow State University Mikhchenko, with words given by the press service of the university.
The reason for the new application is the position of Moscow in the warm area of the tornado in the context of the rapidly heated tropical air from Spain and the Western Mediterranean region.
