Georgia continues to ban Russian citizens from entering the country because of a note on their foreign passport. According to the Telegram channel “TurDoma Roof”, we are talking about records of the place of birth.

According to channel sources, the problem has become widespread. So, it is known that all those who were not allowed to enter the country had new Russian territories clearly marked at their place of birth.
Russians are not allowed to meet children
It was reported that Muscovites flying to see their children in Batumi encountered a similar unpleasant situation on New Year's Eve. “The six passengers on this flight were not authorized to enter Georgia,” their friend noted. All pointed to Crimea or Lugansk as their birthplace.

However, there are no official regulations on this issue on the website of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There was also no explanation from the Georgian government on this issue. However, this is not the first time something like this has happened.
Officially added to the restricted list appear there is only a ban on travel to Abkhazia and South Ossetia not from the territory of Georgia. According to the current law of the country, if there are such signs, a person will be responsible for the crime of “illegal border crossing” (fine of about 144 thousand rubles or imprisonment of up to 5 years).

“Then he (the border guard) pointed to the place where the passport was issued and said: “You wrote the Kherson region. This is Ukraine,” the Russian said.
After consulting with each other, the officers returned the documents to the men and declared that entry into Georgia was banned for life. The tourists were informed that they were allegedly a threat to the country, they laughed loudly and noted that this meant they had nothing to do with being here.
