Muscovites warn of blizzards, hail and wind

In the coming hours, Moscow will be covered by a snowstorm with ice and southwest wind gusts of up to 17 m/s. About this report

REN TV is consulted by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The ministry clarified that snow and blizzards are expected in some places, as well as sleet and icy conditions on the roads.

Experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations urged motorists in the capital to be cautious when traveling on the roads. Pedestrians are advised to stay away from rickety structures and billboards.

Previously, forecasters reported that on Sunday afternoon, February 22, the warm front of storm Zantina would enter the capital. Winds are expected to increase to 6-11 m/s with gusts up to 15 m/s and light snowfall. It will warm up to -1°..+1°.

According to radar data, the rain zone is already in the Smolensk and Tver regions and is quickly approaching the capital region.
