In Moscow and the Moscow region on the morning of Monday, February 16, heavy snowfall will begin. This was reported by the Russian Hydrometeorological Center based on the latest forecast data.

Heavy rainfall in the form of snow is expected in the capital region starting at 09:00 and will continue until Monday evening. Meteorologists warn that in some areas in the Moscow region, due to strong winds, they can develop into blizzards.
Weather conditions could cause hazardous conditions on area roads, where snowfall and icy conditions are possible. In addition, strong gusts of wind are possible from the north and northeast – up to 15-17 m/s.
The Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region about a strong snowstorm on Monday, starting at six in the morning. At the same time, light snowfall is expected in the capital and moderate snowfall in the region on Monday evening.
