The Victory Museum has prepared 73 exhibition projects for 2025. They are displayed on the site of the main museum building on Poklonnaya Gora. Thematic and artistic exhibitions are dedicated to both the Great Patriotic War and the post-war development of the country.

In 2025, the Victory Museum prepares more than 70 exhibitions

— In recent years, we have become increasingly interested in the Great Patriotic War, largely due to the need for people to understand its history in a new way through the lens of today, to see similarities and find answers in the events of 80 years ago. We take all of this into account in our new exhibitions and exhibition activities,” the Victory Museum emphasized.

Among the major exhibitions is Victory Parade, dedicated to the two legendary parades of 1945 – in Moscow and Berlin as symbols of the victory of the victors. To mark the 80th anniversary of the start of the strategic offensive against Manchuria, the Victory Museum has prepared an exhibition project called “The Final Offensive”. And on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the “Court of Nations” – “Nuremberg. The unknown of the known.” By February 23 and March 8, exhibition projects were created dedicated to the role of men and women in the Great Patriotic War – “Defenders of the Fatherland” and “The beauty of victory”.

The annual project “Vernissage Victory” presents young artists and sculptors – winners of a creative competition, the theme being the year of victory 1945. The exhibitions are also updated as part of the ongoing projects “War: Day by Day”, “Heirlooms”, “Frontline Heroes”, “Legends of Soviet Cinema”.

Another important exhibition of the Victory Museum is the large-scale cultural and historical project “Shoulder to Shoulder”, which opened in November and is dedicated to the long-term cooperation, mutual support and friendship between Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The central exhibition event of the anniversary year is the opening of the new large-scale multimedia exhibition “The Road to Victory”, which honors the victories of Red Army soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. This is a joint project of the Victory Museum and many domestic museums, providing us with relics kept in specialized display areas. They have taken their rightful place in the exhibition space and become the property of millions of people. The uniqueness of this exhibition project is that here, in addition to heroes and commanders, many destinies of ordinary soldiers are shown, the essence of mass heroism and the contribution of each region of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries to the Victory are revealed.

In 2025, on behalf of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the Victory Museum prepared the exhibition “Northern Military District. Defenders of the Fatherland”, dedicated to modern warrior heroes. It is located in two locations: in the main building of the museum and in the open area of the GORA branch of the museum. It contains more than 250 original and unique artifacts from war zones, modern weapons, including drones. Outdoors, on an area of more than 8000 square meters, samples of NATO and Ukrainian military equipment destroyed in a special military operation are displayed. The exhibition also displays personal belongings and stories about the exploits of SVO participants who received the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.
