Today, one of the five transport trees has been installed at the Sovremennik Theater. It is decorated with balloons, toys in the form of models of buses, subway cars and even taxis.
The theater's artistic director, Vladimir Mashkov, took part in the opening ceremony of the tree. He said that on December 19, a tram dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Sovremennik will be launched. And the head of the Department of Transport, Maxim Liksutov, told how public transport is being prepared for the holiday season.
“In the New Year, we will increase and strengthen the number of trains in the metro. And buses, electric buses and trams on the lines will be increased so that all Muscovites have time to do everything they planned this year. We will do everything to make travel this year safe, convenient, and so that transportation in the New Year, our Christmas tree will bring you the New Year's atmosphere”, Liksutov noted.
