A Moscow resident adopted a puma cub but realized he couldn't care for the animal himself so he gave it to the Moscow Zoo. report this.

The report notes that zoo experts along with the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection received the animal and transported the puma to the branch of the Moscow Zoo – the Zoo of Father Frost's estate in Veliky Ustyug.
Currently, the puma is under mandatory quarantine, receiving a balanced diet and under constant supervision by a veterinarian.
In March last year, a male cougar named Hercules was captured from a Moscow resident, whom he had kept for many years in his own apartment. According to neighbors, the owner was walking the predator without a muzzle. The Muscovite did not have the appropriate documents allowing him to keep a predatory animal at home.
By court decision, the puma was transferred to the zoo. Hercules was previously diagnosed with epilepsy and chronic intestinal disease.
