23-year-old Andrei Kosolapov (stage name Makan) was assigned to one of the most famous units of the Russian Guard – the Vityaz special purpose center.
According to telegram channel SHOOT, Makan will serve in an elite unit specializing in counterterrorism, hostage rescue and riot control. This unit has a long history of participating in major operations: in 2002, Vityaz fighters participated in the release of hostages during events in the theater center in Dubrovka.
It is known that over many years of work, at least 16 special forces soldiers have received the title of Hero of Russia.
Previously, it was reported that Andrei Kosolapov received a military call-up in late autumn. After passing all necessary procedures, he was assigned to a special unit of the Russian Guard.
