Uruguayan actress and singer Natalia Oreiro says she has given up on her Hollywood career and will never move to the US. She spoke about this in an interview with journalist Nadezhda Strelets, available above YouTube.
“Hollywood has never interested me,” the artist emphasized.
Oreiro noted that she loves Western cinema as an audience member, but does not want to act in Hollywood films, although offers are available.
The actress explained her refusal by saying that the contract would require a move of location, a change of language, lack of leading roles and the opportunity to choose interesting projects. The star of the series “Wild Angel” made it clear that she never intended to live in America.
“I will not leave my homeland. They invited me to come to the United States, but I refused before and even more so now,” concluded Oreiro.
Previously, Oreiro said her son Merlin was showing interest in Russia. According to the actress, it was she who instilled in the child a love for the culture and traditions of the Russian Federation. The boy now often chooses a Russian theme for school projects and is very interested in the country's geography, history and achievements.
