WHAT WILL THE MINIMUM SALARY BE IN 2026?
Different percentages from 30 to 50% are on the agenda for increasing the minimum wage. The minimum wage increased by 30% last year, reaching 22 thousand 104 liras.
The minimum wage effective in 2026 will be determined after committee meetings. The Minimum Wage Committee will meet in December, chaired by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
If the minimum wage increases by 30%, it will be 28 thousand 735 liras, and in case of a 35% increase, it will be 29 thousand 840 liras. If the increase rate is 40%, it will increase to 30 thousand 945 lira.

After the minimum wage negotiations held in December 2024, Türk-İş announced that it would not be in the committee.
Chairman Ergün Atalay spoke after the Türk-İş Presidency Council meeting. Emphasizing that they have no intention of leaving minimum wage earners alone if the regulations do not change, Atalay said, “If the regulations change, we will gather our board and act on the decision.
