The bank bidding process for the period 2025-2028 to raise salaries for General Department of Security (EGM) personnel is strictly followed internally and by the public. It was stated that, shortly before the expiration of the previous agreements, the negotiations carried out by the EGM on the new protocol that would include central and provincial institutions had reached the final stage. It is known that bidding preparations for the new phase have reached the final stage and banks have begun to forward their proposals to the General Department of Security.The new promotional agreement is expected to include more favorable terms than previous periods, considering economic conditions and high inflation.The Police Department Union has requested an advance payment of 270,000 TL for the promotion program for the 2025 period. In addition, the union proposed that employees who do not like promotion will be provided with an interest-free loan option of up to 600,000 TL. In the tender specifications, a request was also made to determine the base price of 164,440 TL.After the end of the bidding, it is expected that promotion payments will be transferred to HR accounts no later than the second week of November. The new promotion protocol will take effect when the old agreement expires. Once the payment terms are clarified, a protocol will be signed between the winning bank and EGM.
