Continuing its renewable energy projects, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources declared the area within the borders of Çankırı as a Renewable Energy Resources Area (YEKA). Statements and details regarding this matter have been published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, an area located within the boundaries of Çerkeş district of Çankırı was declared as YEKA within the scope of the Regulation on Renewable Energy Resources Areas. Sketches and a list of contours and corner coordinates of the area named G3-ÇANKIRI-2-3 YEKA were shared.
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced a new record set in the field of renewable energy. In this context, it should be noted that wind power generation reached its highest ever daily production level of 259 thousand 76 megawatt hours on January 3.
Minister Bayraktar emphasized that investments in renewable energy will continue with determination and said: “Renewable energy plays a strategic role in achieving the goal of a completely energy independent Turkey. We aim to organize YEKA competitions with a capacity of at least 2 thousand MW by 2026. We will continue to convert our potential into energy with the new investments we will make onshore and at sea in the coming period.” gave his assessment.
