MINIMUM EXPORT IS IN SYRIA
During the period from January to December 2025, foreign exchange inflows were 16 million 172 thousand 978 dollars from Türkiye exporting 4 million 39 thousand 477 kg of anchovies to 21 countries. In the same period last year, anchovy exports earned 15 million 147 thousand 738 dollars in foreign currency, equivalent to 3 million 353 thousand 217 kg to 21 countries. While Belgium exported the most anchovies with 4 million 787 thousand 912 dollars, France ranked second with 4 million 594 thousand 218 dollars and followed by Germany with 2 million 207 thousand 522 dollars. Syria is the country that exports the least anchovy with 444 USD.
SERIOUS CONTRIBUTION FROM TRABZON
When export reports are examined, Trabzon is the city with the largest contribution to exports in Türkiye. While European countries lead the export of anchovies from Trabzon, it is found that exports remain stable in both quantity and economic value.
In 2025, 662 thousand 115 dollars of foreign exchange flows were supplied to 8 countries from Trabzon in exchange for 231 thousand 426 kg of anchovies, while in the same period last year, 417 thousand 225 dollars of foreign exchange flows were supplied to 5 countries in exchange for 98 thousand 715 kg.
Germany ranked first in anchovy exports from Trabzon with 415 thousand 428 dollars, followed by the United Kingdom with 79 thousand 735 dollars and Ukraine with 54 thousand 200 dollars.
