In the coming days in Moscow, the temperature in some places may reach positive values. This was reported by the leading expert of the Meteonovosti news agency Tatyana Pozdnykova.
According to her, January 1 and 2 will be quite frosty, the base temperature will be 5-7 degrees lower than climate standards.
However, already on January 3-4, the daytime air temperature will be from minus six to minus one degree.
— In the center of Moscow, the temperature can be 0 degrees and the air temperature is slightly positive. In principle, the weather will be comfortable. There will be… a little snow,” Pozdnykova concluded in a conversation with RT.
On the contrary, leading expert at the Phobos weather center Evgeniy Tishkovets said peak of January frosts in Moscow it is expected that on January 2, the air temperature will drop to minus 15 degrees, after which the cold will begin to gradually weaken.
Not long ago, an expert warned that frost up to minus 15 degrees and snow is expected to fall on New Year's Eve in the capital. In this case, the sleds will grow up to 16–18 cm long.
