The vast majority of Russians admit they are not in the mood to celebrate the New Year

When asked if they were in the mood for the new year, the majority of survey participants – 84% – answered negatively. Only 14% of Lenta.ru readers surveyed felt the festive atmosphere.

The survey was conducted from December 8 to December 14, 2025. 16,460 people participated.

Previously, it became known that one-fifth of economically active Russians plan to work during the upcoming New Year holiday. Most of them are representatives of the younger generation.
