How much is the military service fee in 2026? On the agenda after the December inflation forecast

How much military service will cost in 2026 is on people's agendas as December inflation data approaches. People of military age who want to complete paid military service will focus on the military service fee due in 2026. Predictions that the military service fee will be calculated according to the civil service salary coefficient that will occur after the December inflation, have become stronger. So how much will the military service fee be in 2026?

One of the issues that many candidates preparing to enlist in 2026 are most curious about is the new military service fee. The paid military service fee, which is on the agenda with the formation of the annual 6-month inflation differential and the determination of the salaries of civil servants, will be updated according to December inflation. So what will the military service fee in 2026 be?

DECEMBER INFLATION ASSESSMENT

Given that 2025 will most likely end at 31% inflation, Minister Şimşek hinted that December inflation will be announced.

If December inflation figures are announced at about 1%, year-end inflation will be about 31%. Thus, the expected 6-month inflation gap is 6.96%.

HOW MUCH WILL THE 2026 MILITARY SERVICE FEES PAY?

Military service fees paid for the period from July to December 2025 are 280 thousand 850 TL. The newly paid military service fee will be adjusted upward according to regulations on civil servant salaries in 2026 and inflation differences.

If six-month inflation figures were published according to these calculations, the inflation gap would be 6.96. It is predicted that if the 11% level determined under the 8th term Collective Agreement is added to the inflation gap of 6.96, the civil servant salary will increase cumulatively by 18.73%.

After these decisions, the military service fee payable based on the monthly coefficient of civil servants will increase to 333 thousand 454 lira if the monthly coefficient of civil servants is 1.389392.

HOW ARE MILITARY PAYMENTS CALCULATED?

With the Circular of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance dated July 7, 2025 titled “Financial and social rights”, the civil servant month coefficient in the period July 1 – December 31, 2025 was announced as 1.170211. In this context;

Amount of military service paid: 240,000 x 1.170211 (monthly civil servant coefficient) = 280,850.64 TL

Additional fee amount (Monthly): 3,500 x 1,170211
