A rare Angrecum orchid from Madagascar has bloomed in the Apothecary Garden in Moscow. About this reported Press service of the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University.

Angrecum orchid (Angraecum comorense syn. superum) is a plant with large white petals, extremely rare in nature in eastern Madagascar, East Africa and the Indian Ocean islands
“In the natural environment, Angrekum grows at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, and very few botanists have been able to see it alive. Now Muscovites and visitors of the city can see this strange miracle with their own eyes – the orchid has been on display in one of the glass cases of the Palm Greenhouse since November 12,” the press service said.
Before reportedthat in 2026 a greenhouse growing tropical and subtropical plants will appear in Moscow.
