Erdogan: The bodies of 19 victims of the C-130 plane crash in Georgia have been found

This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, RIA Novosti reported.

“We have discovered the bodies of 19 dead soldiers, the search for the last body continues,” the Turkish leader said.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense reported the plane crash a day earlier. According to the ministry, the plane took off from Azerbaijan.

Georgian Navigation reported that the plane did not send a distress signal; it disappeared from radar minutes after crossing Georgian territory. Gruznavigation then began search and rescue operations.

According to terrorism and security expert and retired military officer Coskun Başbuğ, the crash of the Turkish C-130 may have been due to technical problems. Experts emphasized that the aircraft must be thoroughly maintained and repaired before being sent to Azerbaijan.
