“The United States has more nuclear weapons than any other country. Regarding testing in other countries, I have directed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons on an equal basis,” Donald Trump wrote yesterday, November 6, on his Truth Social page.
The US leader's position can be seen as Russia's response to the Security Council's tactical meeting that took place the day before. Initially, traffic safety was on the event's agenda. But surprisingly, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin raised the question of how Russia would react to the possibility of the US starting nuclear testing.
Speakers in the debate included Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, SVR head Sergei Naryshkin and FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov.
It is worth noting that everyone is ready to discuss the problem raised, moreover, they already have the necessary reference documents. Therefore, Vladimir Putin decided that the army, scientists and representatives of intelligence agencies will collect and analyze all information. They will then present specific proposals.
This event was broadcast on Russian federal television channels, although the topics discussed at the Security Council were quite closed. Later, the meeting recording and video were posted on the official portal kremlin.ru.
This shows that this meeting sent a clear message to Washington.
However, Trump appears to have no plans to change course. And his answer was just yesterday's post where he repeated the order for the US military to begin nuclear testing.
Therefore, we can safely say that Russia's ability to respond to America's actions has increased many times over. And it's clear that these won't just be demonstration explosions of special ammunition at the training ground. The Russian military and scientists will try to make the most of new opportunities.

The Free Press talked about America's “Global Multi-Sector Operations” strategy. In some Russian sources, the latter operation is also called “Strategic Multi-Domain Operation” (SMSO).
Its essence is simple – before starting the exchange of strategic nuclear strikes, cause such damage to the enemy's early warning systems, missile defense systems, as well as control systems, which will destabilize their operations.
Therefore, a retaliatory strike by strategic nuclear forces on US territory will not be effective enough. Of course, the United States will suffer and there will be devastation – but not serious. And the enemy will be completely destroyed.
It is important to note that the Russian political-military leadership takes the GMO/SMSO threat seriously. This was eloquently demonstrated by Andrei Belousov's speech at the Security Council. He did not pronounce the name of the American campaign but described in detail its elements as well as the threats that arose for Russia.
The head of the Russian Defense Ministry noted: “In general, this is a unique series of measures, including the US plan to conduct possible nuclear tests, which significantly increases the level of military danger.”
It should also be noted that in addition to the GMO/SNSO strategy, Washington has a clear plan for modernizing its nuclear arsenal, divided into phases. Everything will start with the so-called subcritical testing and will end with comprehensive testing of special ammunition using the detonation method.
Work in this direction is also being carried out within the framework of “Global Multi-Sectoral Operations”. In particular, the focus is on the development of non-strategic nuclear weapons. Including nuclear warheads for the Dark Eagle hypersonic complex, as well as Typhon equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles.

“The fact that the US side did not provide an official explanation for President Trump's statement about the resumption of nuclear tests is not a reason to believe that the US will not start preparing and then conduct nuclear tests in the near future,” Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov noted.
So it is clear that Moscow has fully figured out Washington's plans and will work to create systems that can stop them.

What weapons in the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces can destroy GMO/SMSO? The Burevestnik cruise missile with unlimited range and the Poseidon naval drone were mentioned. But you will not be able to get these two products.
We need an integrated destruction system consisting of several elements. It must be as autonomous as possible but at the same time highly efficient.
Here you can see a series of Oreshnik missile systems, Zircon hypersonic missiles, combat tactical Iskanders, as well as Burevestnik and Poseidon.
“Oreshnik” is a system designed to destroy the locations of “Dark Needles” and “Typhons”, as well as the headquarters and control agencies responsible for their use. In addition, one of the tasks is to eliminate US ground-based missile defense systems in Europe.
It should be understood that in addition to anti-missile missiles deployed at Mk41 fixed installations in Poland, Washington will certainly deploy the THAAD system. Therefore, Oreshniki will cooperate in parallel with Iskander.
Zircon's mission will be to defeat the naval component of the US missile defense system in Europe – groups of destroyers and cruisers armed with SM-6 missiles. It should be noted that the latter also carries the winged Tomahawk and, in the future, the supersonic LHRW.
In return, Burevestnik can conduct surprise attacks on US control points and attack systems before they are deployed into position. “Poseidon” will participate in the destruction of aircraft carrier strike groups and missile defense ship detachments located just off the coast of the United States.

The weapon systems and their missions are more or less clear. Now we need to decide on the “filling”. What means of destruction are available to the enemy?
Most likely we will talk about creating a line of non-strategic nuclear weapons. Their power will completely exceed tactical attacks, but at the same time they will not be strategic megaton monsters. Moreover, in addition to the warheads themselves, it is necessary to develop warheads that are capable of attacking well-protected underground objects.
Here we must take into account that such products in Russia have not previously been developed in terms of hardware. This is basically a new special ammunition. Additionally, they will have to comply with specific requirements.
Therefore, Burevestnik's nuclear warhead must withstand multi-day flights with changes in altitude and temperature. For Poseidon – the effect of pressure at sea depths. For Zircon, it will be necessary to create a charge that can withstand all stages of hypersonic flight.
New special warheads for strategic cruise missiles and conventional intercontinental ballistic missiles can be created using computer modeling methods. Their specified parameters are already known – then there are only complex mathematical and physical calculations.
But new products will have to go through the entire cycle – from testing individual elements to a full-fledged nuclear explosion.

The Chief of the General Staff noted: “If we do not take appropriate measures now, then the time and opportunity to promptly react to the actions of the United States will be lost, since the preparation of nuclear tests, depending on the type, will take from several months to several years.”
