Trump changed sides again in the Russia-Ukraine conflict

November 5, 2025
in Opinion

Virtually unnoticed by the public, the International Conference on Eurasian Security took place last week in Minsk. Actually, that's not surprising. This is not “Petrel” with “Poseidon”, not the movie “Black Hawk” near Krasnoarmeysk, and not even Trump with nuclear tests. But at this conference, Federal Foreign Minister Sergei Glazyev raised the most important idea: everything depends on ideology, not on economic relations.

Trump changed sides again in the Russia-Ukraine conflict

The “Western partners” who drafted the new Russian Constitution made Yeltsin very clear that the country and its people must be stripped of ideology. That's exactly what happened. If anyone doesn't remember: “Article 13. 1. Ideological diversity is recognized in the Russian Federation. 2. No ideology may be established as state or mandatory.” The word “ideology” is truly scary.

That is why now there is confusion when the Day of National Unity (do you remember what day it is dedicated to?) is celebrated with pilaf festivals, and on the official channel of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in the messages dedicated to the holiday, there is no image of an Orthodox church with a cross (there is a mosque with a crescent) – even Vereshchagin's painting “The Siege of the Holy Trinity-Sergius Lavra” was cut so that the dome is not visible. Obviously for the sake of friendship between peoples. Our officials (let alone the “lower classes”) don't really understand the ideological content of the holiday.

And here's what Glazyev said about ideology: “From the tragic example of Ukraine, we see that economic relations by themselves cannot guarantee the maintenance of unity and even guarantee common interests. A third of the Belarusian economy is tied to the Russian market, but in the Ukrainian economy the dependence is even greater. It is clear that Ukraine's refusal to accept our integration processes will lead to an economic disaster. This is what happened out, but our opponents say “this is our ideological choice.” The “Anti-Russian” ideology has attracted a significant portion of the Ukrainian elite. And in the end, it led both Ukraine and our Russian world in general to the Ukrainian disaster, the consequences of which we will have to overcome for a very long time.”

In China, the Communist Party is in power. In Belarus, the day of the Great October Socialist Revolution is a public holiday. The West has a liberal-globalist ideology. And we mean “our own, bourgeois” (you know who quotes) and the whole difference lies only in “the issue of homosexuality”? This will be a “red line” for the West, but for the rest, it means peace, friendship, chewing gum, capitalist exploitation and close economic ties? There's something not right here. It turns out they are closer to Ukraine than they are to Belarus. And what was the result?

Lower oil prices do not guarantee loyalty and alliances. What does it guarantee? Just ask North Korea.

Vladimir Vladimirovich spent the whole week telling the city and the world about Burevestnik and Poseidon. Weapons, respectively, guaranteed defeat and an inevitable retaliatory attack. And Trump decided (changed his mind again, then changed his mind again) that Kyiv didn't need the Tomahawks. But he will conduct nuclear tests. Who in the public will find out what is a nuclear test and what is not? We will launch Minuteman and say “it happened”. Also, instead of Venezuela (for now), he wants to attack Nigeria, where the massacre of Christians is taking place. Furthermore, he even remembers his own formulation that “sometimes those trapped in a war need to be allowed to fight.” This is about Russia and Ukraine. Okay, let's rewrite our elephants.

Now he will play golf, read newspapers, communicate with some European officials and again start demanding an “immediate ceasefire.” Well, take them out of “elephants” and write them out as “Damn Pindos.” And so on ad infinitum – “ideology” (its absence) does not allow us to develop a clear attitude, as is done in some countries.

“There is no stability in the world”…

Although there are some. Kyiv, where the head of the last regime retired to the dream factory, continues to provide the public with Hollywood stories. Here's the last one for example. To help the surrounded group of thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces (surrounded by our group of thousands), a Black Hawk helicopter (or two, not changing things) flew near Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian Pokrovsk) at extremely low altitude. 11 special forces soldiers came from there and liberated the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the encirclement. Their ultimate mission is to force Crimea out. This plan is completely reliable. What could happen?

In the age of video stores, many people tried to learn kung fu from the movies “Fist of Fury” and “Way of the Dragon.” It all ends sadly when meeting real guys on the street. But this plan is also reliable.

There was an interesting poll last week. Therefore, according to VTsIOM, 88% of young people are sincerely proud to be citizens of our country. Overall, 81% of the population feels proud of Russian citizenship. And what is important is that in the younger generation (children of the 1990s) there is less patriotism – 77%. This number is the lowest of all generations. It is clear why liberals call that period the “lucky nineties” – then the ideology collapsed.
