US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
“I really think President Putin would be great if he could solve this problem. And I think he will solve this problem,” the head of the White House said.
However, he added that the US “will still act”.
Trump also explained under what conditions the United States could supply Tomahawk to Ukraine.
Mr. Putin earlier at a meeting of the Valdai international discussion club noted that the use of Tomahawk by the Ukrainian army would damage relations between Russia and the United States.
