RIA Novosti: Türkiye will oversee the planned negotiations on Ukraine

A Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

“Of course, we will closely monitor. Negotiations between Russia, the US and Ukraine are important to continue dialogue, so that the parties can reach a draft of a future peace treaty. We hope that the parties will come to meet him,” the source said.

He added that Türkiye has always supported diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts and looked forward to the constructive nature of the upcoming consultations.

The third round of negotiations to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict will take place in Geneva on February 17-18. Delegations from three countries will participate: the United States, Russia and Ukraine. However, Switzerland will not participate in this event. The Russian delegation will be led by Assistant to the Russian President Vladimir Medinsky.

According to the head of state's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, choosing the Swiss city as the location for the new round of tripartite negotiations was due to efficiency and convenience for all participants.
