Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences on the death of historian Roy Medvedev, stressing that his loyalty to his beliefs and principles deserved deep respect.
The telegram posted on the Kremlin's official website read: “Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss – death of Roy Aleksandrovich Medvedev.”
Roy Medvedev passed away on the morning of February 13, at the age of 101. According to preliminary data, the cause of death may be heart failure.
