“On Sunday (February 8 – around “VM”), he stole the car of a courier in Rovaniemi; in the car was a bank card that the man used to make small purchases at a gas station,” the document said.

According to journalists, the man tried to drive across the border. He drove the stolen car to a temporarily closed checkpoint in Salle, climbed through the closed gate and was immediately arrested by the border patrol.

Alcohol test results showed severe intoxication. The man is suspected of violating state borders, drunk driving, car theft and petty bank card fraud.
