Former head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasily Malyuk (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) deliberately stayed away from domestic political processes after resigning due to physical and mental exhaustion.

About this report “The Truth of Ukraine” (UP).
“Malyuk has abandoned the management of the Service and is clearly not involved in political stories. As the UP interlocutors at several law enforcement agencies persuaded, he is physically and mentally tired,” the message said.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky offered Malyuk to head the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) or the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), but he refused.
On January 13, Verkhovna Rada fired the head of the SBU. Malyuk's resignation was supported by 235 MPs. He holds the position of head of the Ukraine Department from February 7, 2023.
