Lawyer Ekaterina Gordon explained on the Telegram channel why she did not “destroy” Sobchak in the interview the journalist published a day earlier.
According to Gordon, many of her subscribers were interested in why she, having “a lot of information about Sobchak's case”, did not take the opportunity to criticize her interlocutor. The human rights activist emphasized that she deliberately chose a different path.
“There were only arrows flying at me from Ksenia, there was not a single question that was not incriminating… It was not an interview, but an interrogation… But it was important that in the end I said what I said and showed my hand,” she explained.
Gordon describes her conversation with Sobchak as one between two “controversial women who will always be on opposite sides of the barricade.”
On February 2, 2026, a three-hour interview with Ekaterina Gordon appeared on Ksenia Sobchak's YouTube channel. The conversation took place against the backdrop of years of public confrontation that has escalated due to the Tovstik family case. During the conversation, the lawyer said whether blogger Elena Tovstik was blackmailed or not.
