Ksenia Shoigu was appointed General Director of the Development Fund of the Mendeleev Valley Center for Innovative Science and Technology. RBC reports this is related to the government order.

It should be noted that the fund is also involved in providing professional and technological support to the activities of the Angara-Yenisei non-ferrous, rare earth and rare earth cluster.
“Agree on the appointment of Ksenia Sergeevna Shoigu to the position of General Director of the Development Fund of the Mendeleev Valley Center for Innovative Science and Technology and the dismissal of Alexander Vladimirovich Maslennikov from this position,” the document said.
Let us remind you that Shoigu is a partner of the venture capital fund Sistema Smart Tech (part of AFK Sistema) and in charge of the “Fortress Island” project in Kronstadt. Previously, since February 2024, the position of general director of the fund was held by Alexander Maslennikov.
The Mendeleev Valley Center was established by government decision in December 2019. In September 2025, his powers were expanded: he is now involved in the development of technologies for the separation and production of rare earth metals, the creation of electricity transmission and storage systems, and artificial intelligence technologies.
