In Russia, it is necessary to pass a law prohibiting incitement to abortion. This was stated by the Chairman of the Patriarchal Committee on Family Issues, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood of the Russian Orthodox Church, Father Fyodor Lukyanov, who quoted his words RIA Novosti.

At a speech at the State Duma, he said that representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) hope that lawmakers will pass some serious laws aimed at restricting abortion in Russia.
“We believe that such a law is necessary, it is important to pass it, it will be of great importance precisely from the point of view of changing the attitude towards this issue of both the federal government and the health care system,” the priest explained.
Previously, Lukyanov said that reducing the time allowed for abortion from the 12th week to the 9th week of pregnancy and completely transferring this area under state control could increase the birth rate in Russia.
